Jack’s work with people with disabilities spans 25 years – the last eight of which have been with PLAN, where he has worked in several capacities.  Jack’s passion is public policy – seeking, advancing and implementing change that has lasting impact and benefits people broadly.

Most notably, he has been a key player in the work to design, advance and implement the Registered Disability Savings Plan, which will benefit an estimated 400,000 Canadians. Jack also led efforts to encourage provinces to enable people with disabilities to use the RDSP without the loss of provincial disability income benefits.  His current public policy interests are primarily solutions to promote financial security and social inclusion of people with disabilities.

Previously, he was the Executive Director of the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion, a service provider organization with strong grassroots family leadership.  While at BACI, Jack lead initiatives to implement person-centered planning promote relationships and belonging, develop community housing and integrated child care.
