The Art Of The Pitch...or the Secret Of The SellSandra Porteous learned to pitch by freelancing for magazines like Maclean's and Marketing Magazine and for 16 years had to come up with ideas for her weekly newspaper column. She moved on to pitching ideas for radio, TV programs and travel publications. The three P's of the perfect pitch are covered - the prep, the passion and the practice. The ability to generate ideas and to communicate those ideas is at the core of creativity. As most people know - simply having a good idea is not enough! Learn how to find an idea, create an idea journal and brainstorm concepts all on your own - and see your original idea become a reality. The one hour workshop will be followed by a Q and A moderated by Sunny Yi - who has been on both sides of the pitch process.
