Khalid BakshKhalid has a general litigation practice that includes insurance, employment, commercial and real estate litigation. Khalid is also well known as a civil rights advocate for the Muslim community throughout Toronto and Canada, and is legal counsel to several Muslim community organizations. Khalid articled with the law firm of Borden & Elliott and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990. Previous law firms that Khalid has worked with include Devry, Smith and Frank and Lafleur Brown. Khalid's memberships include the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Metropolitan Toronto Lawyer's Association, the Advocates Society, the Insurance Institute of Ontario, and the Muslim Lawyer's Association. Khalid has also acted as an Instructor for the Advanced Civil Litigation section of the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission Course, and as a Member of the Governing Council of the Ontario Bar Association. Khalid has assisted with the activities of several civil liberties groups, and in addition has written and lectured on numerous legal topics. |
