Pier Giorgio Di CiccoToronto's Poet Laureate
He was born in Arezzo, Italy and raised in Montreal, Baltimore and Toronto. Between 1975 and 1986 he pursued a literary career as an editor, teacher and guest lecturer. He edited Roman Candles (1978), the landmark anthology of Italian-Canadian poetry, as well as publishing 13 highly acclaimed books of his own poetry, including The Tough Romance (1979), Flying Deeper into the Century (1982) and Virgin Science (1986) |
