Announcing this year’s Breakfast With a Visionary,

 Innoversity is proud to announce Trina McQueen as our 2005 “Visionary”!
Ms. McQueen is a trailblazer and Canadian broadcasting pioneer who has inspired men and women alike throughout her legendary career.
Hers has been a career of firsts: she was the first female reporter at CFTO-TV, the first female host of W-5; and the first female executive producer of The National. She was vice-president of News, Current Affairs and Newsworld for CBC (another first); the founding President of Discovery Channel, and President and COO of CTV Inc. Her “retirement” activities include serving on the Board of Directors of the CBC; the Advisory Council of the National Film Board and she is the CTV Professor of Broadcast Management at Schulich School of Business at York University.
She has been elected to the Canadian News Hall of Fame and the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame; and has been presented with the Gemini Lifetime Acheivement Award, and the Canadian Journalism Foundation Lifetime Exellence Award.
