CBC Television News Innoversity InternshipThe OpportunityCBC Television News, in co-operation with the Innoversity Summit, is pleased to announce the creation of an internship and mentoring program with the national broadcaster. This internship is designed to provide an extremely curious person who loves storytelling with hands-on programming experience in a news and current affairs television environment. This role will involve researching, writing and/or chase producing on CBC’s supper hour newscast, CBC News at Six, and on CBC’s daily news programs on Newsworld. We are definitely interested in applications from people both inside and outside the world of TV news. Duration and CompensationThe internship is six months long and located in Toronto. It will begin in January 2007. The successful applicant will work as an Associate Producer. Who May ApplyThe internship is designed for people interested in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism who, along with some previous media experience, can offer insight and understanding into groups within our community who are under-represented in the media. Aboriginal people, visible minorities and people with disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply. Please submit the following documentation:
