CBC Spotlight: Fresh Voice
Fresh Voice is a joint project between Newsworld, the national radio program Sounds Like Canada and the national TV news program, Canada Now. Beginning with a significant national outreach campaign, Fresh Voice asks dozens of colleges and universities to encourage their best students to create a one-page outline of a story they would like to produce with the help of the CBC. The budding journalists behind the most promising and diverse submissions are paired with producers from across the country. With the aid of this CBC expertise, the students produce short features. Some of these will appear on television, others on radio, while a few appear in both mediums.
