Presenter – Gerard Kennedy

Gerard Kennedy, Principal, Enterprising for the Public GoodGerard speaks in “The Boom Effect” on October 25th.

Gerard Kennedy is currently the president of his own firm Enterprising for the Public Good working with a variety of groups from private companies to charitable organizations to the US Congress. A provincial and federal parliamentarian for 13 years, Gerard was the Minister of Education for Ontario and is widely credited with leading a turnaround in Ontario publicly funded education. Gerard’s diverse legislative roles have included health care, consumer protection, housing, industry, cities, infrastructure and environment.
Gerard was Distinguished Visiting Professor at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Business in 2007 and 2008. Prior to public life Gerard was an innovative executive director of non-profit charitable organizations in Toronto and Edmonton.
Born in the northern community of The Pas, Manitoba, Gerard was educated at Trent University and the University of Alberta. He lives with his wife and their two children in west Toronto.
