Dr. Minelle Mahtani
Associate Professor of Geography and Planning, and the Program in Journalism, at University of Toronto
Dr. Minelle Mahtani is an Associate Professor of Geography and Planning, and the Program in Journalism, at University of Toronto. She worked at the CBC as a journalist for “The National” while completing her PhD on “mixed race” identity in Canada. Dr. Mahtani is a Senior Massey College Fellow and is also President of the Association for Canadian Studies. She recently completed a term as Chair of CERIS – the Ontario Metropolis Centre. She also worked at IMPACS – the Institute for Media, Policy and Civil Society.
