Laurie Letheren, ARCH Disability Law Centre
Laurie Letheren is a lawyer at ARCH Disability Law Centre which is a specialty community legal aid clinic dedicated to defending and advancing the equality rights of people with disabilities in Ontario. Laurie joined ARCH in March 2006 bringing her experience in addressing the legal issues of people with disabilities. Laurie has extensive litigation experience. She has represented individuals and disability organizations at various tribunals and provincial and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Her work at ARCH also involves making submissions to all levels of government in an effort to infuse protections of the rights of people with disabilities into laws and government policies or programs. She has delivered public legal education sessions on various disability rights topics. Laurie is also the editor of ARCH Alert, the newsletter published by ARCH.
